About the project
We are looking for an experienced Big Data Developer for a data-driven initiative focused on enhancing group risk reporting and supporting various use cases through the development of new and optimization of existing data pipelines.
Your responsibilities
The role involves re-modeling and aggregating data inputs into a common format, integrating data sources, efficient data transformation, and building analytics pipelines to strengthen the reporting foundation. Work is conducted on a common big data platform using modern tools and technologies.
Our requirements
- Experience in Scala or Java/Spark development
- Knowledge of Hadoop stack (YARN, MapReduce, Sqoop, Hive)
- Knowledge of Kafka
- Knowledge of Impala
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins or Bamboo
- Hands-on experience with JIRA
- Hands-on experience with Bitbucket and Git/Stash
- Experience in implementing data security features such as encryption and anonymization
- Strong communication skills and experience with global, distributed teams
- Data-driven thinking
- Experience working with Agile methods
- Solid background in the Financial Services sector
